Cataract Treatment

A Cataract is a condition in which the natural lens of the eye becomes cloudy, leading to blurred or reduced vision. Cataracts usually develop slowly and may affect one or both eyes. It is one of the most common causes of vision problems, especially in older adults.

Common symptoms include blurred vision, faded colors, sensitivity to bright lights, halos around lights, and difficulty seeing clearly at night. Cataracts can interfere with daily activities such as reading, driving, or recognizing faces.

Cataract Management

Medical Management

Cataracts commonly develop with aging. In the early stages, regular eye examinations and vision correction may help manage symptoms. However, when vision becomes significantly affected, surgical treatment becomes necessary.

Surgical Management

The most effective treatment for cataract is surgery using advanced phacoemulsification technology. Modern techniques such as Micro Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS) require only a very small incision and allow faster recovery with the implantation of advanced intraocular lenses such as Aspheric, Toric, Multifocal, and Trifocal lenses.
